June 11th – Moving Mindfully through Menopause 
14:00 – 16:00

Did you know that Perimenopause is linked to the transition between Summer and Autumn.

For some women perimenopause can cause many symptoms including an excess of physical heat in the body   This can show up as hot flushes, night sweats, irritability, anger etc.
During this Moving Mindfully through YOUR Menopause workshop with Jen from Tranquility 21 we will:
  • Share our experiences of Menopause (only if you wish)
  • Explore the stages of Menopause and how you can support yourself during the transition
  • Enjoy a yoga practice and pranayama (breathing) techniques specifically chosen to relieve the symptoms of hot flushes and night sweats.
Leaving you feeling nourished, nurtured and empowered as you journey towards your Second Spring.
June 13th – Yoga Nidra

Join Susie from Pause & Breathe for a Yoga Nidra practice: deep rest and relaxation, which is deeply restorative. Yoga Nidra is all about rest and relaxation – don’t be fooled by the word “Yoga” – there’s no movement in this session at all.

This session is “Yoga Nidra to Heal the Chakras” – our practice will journey through the chakras, inviting them to rebalance for optimum health.

The session will begin with a bit of a chat, and possibly a short meditation based around the chakras. For the majority of the session you’ll simply be lying down, listening to Susie’s voice as she guides you through this practice. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and cushions so that you can be as comfy as possible for the session. We will have some to borrow if needed.

June 21st – Solstice Yoga
Let’s come together on the longest day of the year to celebrate the summer solstice! A joyous class, sequenced to uplift your spirit, ending in a beautiful guided relaxation.
July 30th – Qi Gong
The art of Qi Gong is a holistic system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training. By doing these movements in conjunction with soft, even breathing and a sense of mindfulness or intent you can also enjoy the many benefits including increased relaxation, reduced tension, better body awareness and a calm, focused mind.
Qi Gong has a powerful effect on the whole of the body and mind. Every exercise has an effect on the whole energetic system, allowing energy (qi) to flow freely. It is possible to practice Qi Gong with mobility difficulties – each posture can be adapted, and it is feasible to practice whilst sitting on a chair.
August 6th – Silk Painting
Silk painting is a fun, exciting medium – in some ways, remarkably similar to watercolour painting. In this taster workshop we will introduce you to iron fixed silk paints and the different effects that can be achieved.
Experimenting on small pieces of silk we will explore techniques such a gutta outline and salt and spray bottle technique. A range of motifs and pattern examples will be available to work from, but you can bring your own source material to inspire your designs. Taking inspiration from your sample pieces you will then begin working on 28cm silk square with your chosen silk mediums/techniques. Once completed your silk picture will be ready to pop into a frame should you wish. Frame not included, but tea/coffee and biscuits are!
August 26th – Storytelling Evening
Let me ask you a question. When was the last time you sat back, left the cares of the day behind and lost yourself in a good tale?
Whether your answer was never, years ago or just last week – gift yourself a little time out and join Mary in an evening of storytelling coupled with some gentle relaxation and a little guided meditation and maybe,  just a little sprinkling of magic & candlelight.
Bring an open mind, whatever you need to keep cosy and a notebook & pen just in case you’re inspired to take notes.
